Research indicates that the most beneficial aspect of therapy is the therapeutic relationship. This means that our connection will be central to your healing process.
I respect this research and deeply value the relationship I have with my clients.
This is the time to "selfishly" consider your preferences and needs, even making financial or time constraints secondary to feeling that special vibe.
If you're looking to change your life, there isn't a single "best" therapist—there's just the best therapist for you.
Our journey together will start with me getting to know you as a whole person. This means exploring all aspects of your life, including your strengths, thoughts, feelings, desires, hopes, habits, relationships, food, identity, sexuality, spirituality...everything
We will then start to sort out what successful therapy looks like for you...
Maybe that means less arguments with your partner.
Setting better boundaries at work or with friends.
Experiencing less stress in everyday life.
Once we both understand what your goals are we will then discuss what techniques will help you move your life forward.
At the beginning of our work together I suggest meeting weekly to build rapport and momentum. Depending on your needs we can then start meeting every other week. When frequent sessions are no longer needed many of my clients schedule "maintenance" sessions., coming in once every 4-5 weeks to touch base on what they have been working on to receive support and feedback.
