Since the age of 15, I've known I wanted to become both a therapist and an art therapist. I'm deeply passionate about listening to others and helping them navigate their life challenges.
I've made a strong commitment to my own mental health, believing that becoming the healthiest version of yourself is the most effective way to support others.
When I'm not in session...
I try to make art most days, I find joy in all art, especially painting and ceramics.
I love psychology, spirituality and true crime podcasts
I like to watch comedies
Hiking with friends and family
Drinking coffee in my yard absorbing the nature around me.
I engage with my community to foster connection, spread love and joy, and offer mutual support.
Prior to attending graduate school, I joined AmeriCorps and volunteered in the San Luis Valley in Southern Colorado. During my term with AmeriCorps I worked for change in the areas of poverty and social justice. Before settling down with my family in Indianapolis I spent several years in both Denver and Chicago. I worked with a variety of populations in various facilities, including an outpatient day program, nursing home, large non-profit organization, homeless shelter, and psychosocial rehabilitation center. These experiences have allowed me to work with a wide range of people and issues. Some of these issues include: anxiety, stress, depression, serious mental illness, substance abuse, dementia, homelessness, parenting issues/conflicts, family distress, trauma, sexual, physical, and emotional abuse, life transitions and creative blocks.
